For about $11 it seems like a good amount of food and very reasonable for a quick bite!
The food was seasoned well and delicious. Very accommodating and always checked in on us. Try it all.

I got the chicken option, but you could also make your own or chose another set option. The baklava was ok...a bit soggy. I would think they paid someone to do it. The quality is sky high with a friendly staff.It would break my heart if this eatery ever closed up because it's already one of my fave lunch spots and I've only been twice. For me, a little more spice would be better, but, when I am living in Turkey, I wish for more spice there too.The food is so good and it's such a value. We only missed the bread the Chef made the day before. And of course with those three the options are unlimited! I wish they would re-do it and make it more user friendly both online and in person so people knew the scope of what they can order. I want it all!There are few Turkish restaurants in D.C area but this is the only fast casual restaurant in D.C. it is so authentic and delicious. There are plenty of places I can get a falafel bowl, and the falafel itself was by no means better than the competitors, but the thick red pepper and walnut spread and the hot sauce on top, contrasted with the inscrutably aromatic orange soda I drank with it, were a worthwhile flavor combination. While heading up to Dupont to run some errands, Tempo caught my eye. They also have wonderful staff and are family-run. One more to add to downtown DC faves. I was told it is sort of like a pizza and am not disappointed. and the chicken shawarma bowl -- I'm not a huge fan of shawarma usually but I really enjoyed my bowl and the yummy variety of healthy and bottomless (till your bowl gets full) salad options you can add (the Russian salad and acuka deserve special mentions -- taste homemade).
