I had such a poor experience that it prompted me to write a piece on “My first consideration when I decided to use Agoda was whether it is a legitimate company. I said I will dispute through my credit card company if not refund to my credit card. Not only do they have to save up their hard earned money for it but they often spend a lot of time planning things to do during their trip.

Book your trip very far in advance. A stiff dose of reality is what you need.I need to cancel a reservation and can’t contact them. All other travel sites, airlines and hotels fully refunded. Is it reliable? Any changes requested by customers turned out to be problematic. I got switched from Expedia to Booking.com. I will never recommend Agoda or will I ever use them again as this was my first time.

User friendly. Shame on me!I used Agoda several times at Suvarnabhumi, Bangkok and was satisfied. There is 24/7 online chat and phone support for assistance booking travel plans. I then went to cancel one day of my reservation within 48 hrs.

I requested that they either cancel the booking or change for a less expensive room but they kept repeating that the "special rate" was an average.

One that stands out is the option to get emails if the price changes on a hotel you’re thinking about booking. They are legitimate, and owned by Priceline. The hotel says it doesn’t know and I would have to check with Agoda, which apparently has never heard of me. This time, I choose one of their specials for a 5 star hotel in Bangkok. I suspect Agoda has made itself a third party and profits off of people that have difficulties traveling and hopes they wont show up to charge your credit card. The reason for this is because they can search for available accommodations in their website in just a few searches.The results on these are complete with the photos of the hotel, amenities, exact location and other traveler reviews.You can read the traveler Agoda.com reviews directly when searching for a hotel here.However, the company holds an F rating at the Better Business Bureau website at this time. Agoda includes hostels and apartments in itsresults.

This time, I recently booked a stay at a hotel and knew that many of the area hotels were sold out (or listed with higher rates) due to some events happening in the area. Seattle, Washington. It happens.I didn’t have a problem with checking into my hotel this time because I didn’t book with Agoda.
As the manager helped process our check-in, a guy walked up to the check-in line and instead of waiting to be helped, he directly addressed the manager and yelled out to ask if there are any more rooms. Eventually after they contacted hotel, they agreed to refund, but on the condition, they would only refund me the Agoda credit, the money can only by spent through them in the future. Do not use this site, at your peril and loss of money! Since Priceline acquired Agoda back 2007 and Priceline is relatively well-known, Agoda is legitimate by all accounts. My husband called the hotel to cancel our reservation, but was told to contact the 3rd party booking company.

But Agoda given us three rooms in Alagoa resort with same price ( 18thousand) but cost was 65 thousand.

And it's a perfectly legitimate question as (again) Agoda doesn't make that explicitly clear. Needless to say, Both Agoda and the hotel (Crown Royal Plaza in down town Chicago) would be a total disappointment to deal with. I’ve booked through several agencies and have yet to have this type of experience. It’s FALSE & DECEITFUL !

Agoda would not refund me due to non-refundable rate.While I understand non-refundable is non-refundable. When I tried to use Agoda in Germany it turned out to be a complete fraud. This is primarily because the hotels pay Agoda for advertisements on their site which means they have control over the information that is posted about them. Only the latest review will count in the company's TrustScore

I’m not going to risk my travel plans and not have a place to stay, even if they offer a great deal. Expedia, airlines. Everything went well and had no problems. Thanks for chiming in.
