The park and trails are beautiful and ample at that. The end is nothing special but the kids enjoyed playing in the water at the bottom of the falls.

There was plenty of parking in multiple lots which was nice. Don't forget to go to the left and right overlook trails at the top at Bob's overlook.Great hike with muffin and Janet - 82 when we started and 97 when we finished - sunnyIt’s a great hike, and a good workout.

Manor Area: Pets are allowed in the day-use area and trails.

Very fun - kinda crowded, even on a Monday. About-No reviews.

We passed lots of people on the trail but it wasn’t bad. Large clean restrooms. We came here for 3 days and camped in the William Houck area. Features include the Catoctin Iron Furnace Historical Site, swimmimg, boating, playground, trails, hunting, picknicing, fishing, camping.Cunningham Falls Campgrounds: Pets are allowed in Addison Run, Bear Branch, and the Manor Area camping loops.Houck Area:Pets allowed on all trails. Best Dogs On Leash Trails in Cunningham Falls State Park.

I was pretty disappointed and will not be returning. I can't speak to the campground, but the lake is nice, and the falls are beautiful. The rocks are huge, gorgeous and fun to scramble. So any 'Day Use' area of the Houck and Manor area campgrounds, Addison Run, Bear Branch, etc...again, I think the only real restriction is the sandy beach part of the lake (but that might only be between Memorial Day through Labor Day).
Cunningham Falls State Park --strenuous hiking, beach, trails I hiked up to the Falls, which was a bit of exertion for a lazy person, who is basically a couch potato. Very clear trail either way. I thought it was a little pricey for a state park (that only had swimming and a trail to the Falls - theres a way to the falls without even paying to get in) but Greenbrier was closed for the summer.I love this park we went here for the weekend. There is an old wooden bin at the entrance (no staff in the booth and no entrance lever) to drop in cash for the entrance fee, which is on an honor system. If you go in realizing, this isn't Niagara, you'll enjoy the morning. There is plenty of shade and grass for sitting and watching. Fun hike with kids and nice little waterfall at the end (I mean, its Maryland, you’re not getting niagara falls). I came here to hike with my husband this past Memorial Day weekend.

MD is known for its waterfalls. I personally visited a waterfall which was treated more like a swimming hole.

We can't wait to go back next summer.Nice park with lots of trails, lake, fishing and waterfall.

There is ample parking here at the park as well. About half a mile each way but there are some steep parts So not totally friendly to those who have knee problems.Complete and utter rip off . Swimming area a bit crowded but nice view. But...still...I hope you enjoy the falls & lake.

Pets, except for guide dogs or service animals, are prohibited inside all buildings and following areas: Camp 1 - … South overlook is better than the north view.
We also went to the beach and went canoeing it was $15 per canoe for 30 minutes. And no one was treating it as a waterfall they were treating it as a water amusement feature. Fishing is permitted outside of the swim areas beyond the marker buoys. easy (166)

Cunningham Falls is an easy drive from 270 and has plenty of parking along the main road and various pockets of parking as you approach the main entrance for the falls.

Cunningham Falls Nature Trail is a 5.5 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Thurmont, Maryland that features a lake and is rated as moderate. Details. Nice walk, but the falls are nothing like expected.
