Just because they work for state law doesn't mean it's okay for them to be rude to people and doesn't make it okay for them to get away with it.
I observed everyone coming in the court room i was in, and that same police officer yelled at everyone as soon as they came in with a question. Automatically updated information of new actions pertaining to a case you are following and want to be current. Every time I said five words as I asked my question she would interrupt me and cut me off. A pro tip is to head into the parking garage and drive down to the lower level (most people seem to go up).
Some lessons I learned from watching the proceedings:
I never even got to my question because she kept interrupting me and she claims that I repeated my question multiple times...Thus, my question was left unanswered because she didn't know what my question was because every time I attempted to ask it she would interrupt me every five words I said.
There are also a variety of other civil and criminal cases heard in Rolling Meadows, so not everyone at the courthouse will be attending for moving violations.
Having been to the Maywood court house in the past, I am pleased to say this court house is light years better, and likely the best place to go for jury duty in Cook County.
If they're serious about keeping cameras out of the courthouse, the security staff need to be better trained on recognizing that most cell phones have cameras these days. Worst experience of my life.
