It is beautiful with many campsites suitable for campers &tents alike. Plenty of room in the site where we set up a 3-person tent and 2-person tent separated by around 40 feet (kids wanted the extra space). Not only did we think that in the evening, but the hosts were there promptly in the morning cleaning it again (even though it seemed like it didn't need cleaning). No designated tent pads. Both are short drives from the hot pools in Pagosa Springs, which you can access by purchasing day passes at one of three different places in town — the Springs Resort and Spa, Healing Waters Resort and Spa, and Overlook Hot Springs Spa. East Fork Campground was one of the most comfortable and scenic national park campgrounds we have ever been in. At West Fork, the West Fork of the San Juan River, and its famed rainbow and cutthroat trout, runs nearby but is not visible from the campground.
