Minder, one of the best British shows in their tv history, has not had a region 1 release to date, so I am not sure why it is even listed here numerous times on Amazon, even though they all say "unavailable". Every series of Minder contains wonderful episodes. Pity they don't make shows like this anymore. Season One, containing some eleven episodes of this successful series has been released on DVD in an attractive box set. Thank you so much for doing them separately, it made our day.

Very entertaining. Dennis Waterman as Terry McCann, and George Cole as Arthur Daley were teamed up for 7 seasons from 1979-1987.

My personal favourite from series 2 is 'Diamonds are a Girl's Worst Enemy' where Terry finds himself once more having to mind Rose Mellor, who he encountered in series 1. During the 70s and 80s The Terry McCann Years is the original series that featured Dennis Waterman as Arthur's original hard man Minder Terry McCann.

The acting is as brilliant as ever from the great George Cole and is ably supported by Dennis Waterman. Arthur hires Terry McGann (played by Dennis Waterman of "New Tricks") to be his minder - British English for personal bodyguard.

always like a bit of light hearted tongue and cheek villany Minder - Series 1 - Episode 8 Series 1 - Episode 8 - Terry is roped in as a driver to find out who is behind attacks on Arthur's mini-cab firm. "All About Scoring, Innit" is another classic episode, where Terry has to mind footballer Danny Varrow, who is hoping to sell the story of his tangled love-life to the papers. Still as tricky as ever, she is now working in the dodgy diamond trade, and her car together with a consignment of diamonds is stolen while Terry is driving for her. Arthur senses a nice little earner when minder Terry is involved in a siege at a laundrette. and a young Robbie Coltrane star in a tale about a get rich quick scheme and the last one is an hilarious tale about a bigamist which stars Pactrick Mower and also features Gary Holton (Wayne from Auf Weirdersehen) and Sue Holderness (Marlene from Only fools) all in all, great fun and highly recommended. Series 5 starts with a classic caper of Arfur trying to sell some football boots and passing them off as trainers and ends up getting involved in a dodgy tobacco smuggling racket. Excellent value for money and promptly delivered.
