We where at this restaurant the service was genuine, elegant and fantastic, great elegant atmosphere, without been a boring place; Oliver, Nina and their team where great; The Sommelier pair our 8 course dinner with the perfect wine to enhance the food flavors. Description: Following the opening of the hotel in 1907, the restaurant was immediately successful in setting new standards for the culinary world. Another course on the eight course that we were tired of was pigeon (we had pigeon a couple of times at Le Gabriel in Paris and L'Assiette Champenoise in Reims).Good Restaurant! The second best was at the kitchen table at Restaurant Vermeer (a one star in Amsterdam). The rest are not as memorable. The rest are not as memorable. Very good vanilla ice cream and a great camomille tea! The surroundings were sumptuous, it was very quiet with classical music playing in the background & a general air of well-being pervaded the whole area. I got a Schnitzel . I didn’t save the menu from Lorenz Adlon, and given my memory issues I am unable to give a rundown, but every plate was great. Once you have decided on one culinary highlight after another follows.
We did the six-course because the eight course had asparagus (given that it asparagus season in Germany, we were asparagused-out). I took my wife there for dinner while in Berlin and it really was a special treat We had a quick snack lunch at the Adlon Hotel. Own or manage this property? Own or manage this property? Very good vanilla ice cream and a great camomille tea! Service ok. Food great. The view of Brandenburg gate gives the whole thing a special flair. We chose the 8 course menu with wine accompaniment with the cryptic title HO-Q Hendrik Otto Quintessenz. Service was friendly & very efficient, the food excellent & we were very glad that we were able to visit such a nice establishment,During our stay at the Adlon we did not miss to visit this 2 star restaurant.
